Built for people with too many bottles
(you know who you are)

Scan or type it in

Snap a photo and sample the color off the bottle, or enter the maker and color by hand.

13 manufacturers, real data

A database of 13 of the biggest hobby paint manufacturers, using color codes from the manufacturers themselves for true color accuracy.

Duplicate catch

Try to add a paint you already own and Dropper Bottle offers to bump the quantity instead of creating a second entry.

Recipes

Mix up to four paints in a ratio, preview the blended color, and save it as your own custom paint.

Projects

Pull paints from your whole collection into a running list for whatever you're painting right now.

Specialty shelf

Texture paints, weathering pigments, grass tufts, water effects — tracked separately from your run-of-the-mill dropper bottles.

Pencil drawing of the developer painting a miniature at his desk, with his dog resting beside him
Art by my talented wife, Saki
Dropper Bottle comes to you from a solo developer with a hobby and a dream. A year ago I left a stable, steady job to try and turn what I love into a career. I made this app out of a passion for painting and gaming, but I'm hoping it can help me support my family and our loving dog, too. Your patronage means a lot to us and will go toward developing more useful apps and tools for our whole community!
Download for Android (.apk)

Installing outside the Play Store

Dropper Bottle isn't on the Play Store, so your phone will warn you once during install. This is expected. Android shows that warning for every app installed from outside the store — it's a statement about where the file came from, not about whether it's safe.

  1. Tap the download above. Chrome may ask you to confirm the download — choose Download anyway.
  2. Open the file. Android will say your phone isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source.
  3. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then press back.
  4. Tap Install. If Play Protect offers to scan the app, let it — it will come back clean.

You only do this once. Updates install normally afterwards.

Refunds

Dropper Bottle is a one-time purchase, and the free trial runs for a full 24 hours — so you can use the whole app, your whole paint rack, before you decide whether to pay for it.

If you bought it and it isn't for you, email me within 14 days of purchase and I'll refund you in full. No form to fill in and no reason needed — just tell me the email address you paid with.
